Wintergreen Stallion Station announced their 2008 Stud Fees yesterday. They are:

BORREGO — $20,000 – No Change from 2007
CENTURY CITY — $2,500 – DOWN from $5,000 in 2007
ECTON PARK — $7,500 – DOWN from $12,500 in 2007
FIVE STAR DAY — $15,000 – DOWN from $20,000 in 2007
HONOUR AND GLORY — $7,500 – DOWN from $12,500 in 2007
POLLARD’S VISION — $10,000 – No Change from 2007

Wintergreen changes for 2008 – Up: 0, Down: 4, No Change: 2

A Breeders’ Cup First!

Returning from the Breeders’ Cup yesterday, I was reflecting on the many comments I heard regarding how the weather/track conditions played a role in the results of the day’s races. While this may be true, nothing should be taken away from the performances of the eight winners. There were no undeserving winners, and there were no flukes. In fact, this is the FIRST TIME in the 24 runnings of the Breeders’ Cup, that ALL the winners had previously won a GRADE 1 race during the same year! This is a very, very impressive group of champions.
