Company Information
Werk Thoroughbred Consultants, Inc. was founded by
Jack Werk in 1987.   The company specializes in pedigree research and analysis, providing information products and services to owners and breeders at all levels of participation in the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industries.  WTC advises clients as to broodmare matings, stallion bookings, and racing and breeding stock purchases.

In slightly more than ten years, WTC has become the most widely recognized and successful pedigree research firm in the world.  Promotions include regular advertising in all Thoroughbred publications in the United States, as well as in The Australian Bloodhorse Review (Australia's largest Thoroughbred publication), and a large presence on the World Wide Web.  In addition, Jack Werk attends many of the largest Thoroughbred auctions, where he is available to clients for personal consultation.

WTC is best known for its proprietary Werk Nick Rating, which is incorporated into many of the company's products and services, and for providing clients with comprehensive information on which to make racing and breeding decisions.

Jack Werk also publishes a journal devoted to Thoroughbred breeding -- Owner-Breeder -- available by subscription only for $195 a year.  O-B has served the Thoroughbred industry worldwide for over ten years; fully one-quarter of its subscribers are located outside the U.S.  O-B features articles by some of the world's best-known pedigree authorities, bloodstock and racing journalists, and guest contributors.
