2) FROLIC'S DREAM (Smoke Glacken-Flashy Frolic, by Premiership) destroyed the field by 12 3/4 lengths in the Cassidy Stakes at Calder.
3) HIGH MIST (Olmodavor-High Humidity, by Petionville) bested her foes by 2 1/2 lengths in the Fanfreluche Stakes at Woodbine!
4) WANNA CUDDLE (Leestown-Something Light, by Time for a Change) galloped by 3 3/4 lengths in the Louisiana Stallion Stakes at Louisiana Downs!

THREE G1's for WTC's Best of Sale Over the Weekend!
On Saturday October 4th, former WTC Best of Sale recommendations prevailed in Grade One races!
1) Two-year-old SQUARE EDDIE (Smart Strike-Forty Gran, by El Gran Senor) romped in the G1 Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland. His next stop will be the BC Juvenile! Square Eddie sold for $200,000 at the 2007 Keeneland September sale.
2) Another two-year-old SKY DIVA (Sky Mesa-Swift Girl, by Unbridled) daylighted the field in the G1 Frizette Stakes at Belmont Park. Her next stop will be the BC Juvenile Fillies! Sky Diva sold for $100,000 at the 2007 Keeneland September sale.
3) Five-year-old MARSH SIDE (Gone West-Colonial Play, by Pleasant Colony) took the prestigious G1 Canadian International Stakes at Woodbine. Marsh Side was entered in the 2004 Keeneland September sale.
All three were Best of Sale recommendations.

FIVE WTC'S BEST OF SALE GRADUATES MAKES THE GRADE OVER THE WEEKEND!
On Saturday and Sunday, former WTC Best of Sale graduates won FIVE graded stakes races. Here's a rundown:
1) Two-year-old STREET HERO (Street Cry-Squall Linda, by Summer Squall) broke his maiden in the G1 Norfolk Stakes at Santa Anita.
2) RED GIANT (Giant's Causeway-Beyond the Sun, by Kingmambo) took the G1 C.L. Hirsch Memorial Turf Championship Stakes at Santa Anita.
3) ZANJERO (Cherokee Run-Checkered Flag, by A.P. Indy) won the G2 Kentucky Cup Classic at Turfway Park.

WTC'S BEST OF SALE HITS TRIFECTA IN THE G2 SUPER DERBY!
In Saturday's Super Derby at Louisiana Downs, former WTC Best of Sale recommendations finished 1-2-3. The winner was MY PAL CHARLIE (Indian Charlie-Shahalo, by Halo), who sold for $300,000 in the KEESEP06 sale. My Pal Charlie was 2-Star recommendation!
Second place went to MACHO AGAIN (Macho Uno-Go Donna Go, by Wild Again), who sold for $85,000 in the OBSAUG06 sale. Macho Again was a 1-Star recommendation!
Coming in third was FOREST COMMAND (Monarchos-Forest Secrets, by Forest Wildcat), who sold for $185,000 in the SARAUG06 sale. Forest Command was rated 2-Stars!

WTC's BCA RECOMMENDATIONS ACCOUNT FOR THREE STAKES WINNERS & TWO STAKES-PLACED OVER THE WEEKEND!
Five breeders who used our Broodmare Compatibility Analysis (BCA) to assist them in selecting the best stallion for their mare had reason to smile over the weekend!
Frank Calabrese's homebred LEWIS MICHAEL (Rahy-Justenuffheart, by Broad Brush), posted an impressive win in the G2 Pat O'Brien Hcp. at Del Mar on Sunday. Lewis Michael will stand at Kentucky's Three Chimneys Farm for the 2009 breeding season.
SUGAR SWIRL (Touch Gold-Astrapi, by Distinctive Pro) placed 3rd in the G1 Ballerina Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday. In October, 2001 Gina Lupton, then owner of the Sugar Swirl's dam Astrapi, ordered a BCA and chose our recommendation of Touch Gold for 2002.
Michael Levine's Meadowridge Stable is the breeder of RENDA (Medaglia d'Oro-Ten Carats, by Capote), whoromped by 7 lengths in the Junior Champion Stakes at Monmouth on Saturday.
Tommy Ligon's RPM Thoroughbreds is the breeder of RED HOT N GOLD (Gold Case-Reishelle, by Birdonthewire), who scored an impressive victory in th Ralph Hayes Stakes at Prarie Meadows on Saturday.
Oak Bluff Stable's AKLINA (Langfuhr-Fahamore, by Gulch) was 2nd, just a half length short of winning the Vichy Stakes at Saratoga on Monday.

On Saturday (6/28/08), Best of Sale recommendation EMMY DARLING convincingly won the Landaluce Stakes at Hollywood Park. The next day, another Best of Sale recommendation, BOLD UNION, destroyed the field by 9 3/4 lengths in the Astoria Stakes at Belmont! Also on Sunday, WTC Recommended Mating DAGNABIT prevailed in the Tremont Stakes at Belmont.

WTC's RECOMMENDED MATING NOT BOURBON WINS QUEEN'S PLATE!
On Sunday (6/22/08) Charles Fipke's NOT BOURBON won the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown with a thrilling victory in the Queen's Plate at Woodbine.
While Fipke's Perfect Soul was still racing, we began to select mares for his future stallion prospect. One of those was the brilliant sprinter and millionaire Bourbon Belle, who he purchased in foal to Silver Deputy for $600,000 at the Keeneland November 2003 sale. The game plan was to breed Bourbon Belle to Fipke's Not Impossible, an unraced full brother to Perfect Soul he was standing in Canada, in 2004 and then Perfect Soul in 2005. The plan has already paid off in spades with Not Bourbon being the result of the 2004 mating.
Bourbon Belle slipped her 2005 in utero Perfect Soul, but produced Perfect Soul fillies in 2007 and 2008, and is carrying another filly from her 2008 breeding.

On Saturday a t Belmont Park, BENNY THE BULL won the G2 True North Stakes, and J BE K romped in the G2 Woody Stephens Stakes. Benny the Bull was a $38,000 KEESEP04 yearling purchase and J BE K was a $125,000 KEESEP06 puchase. Both were WTC Best of Sale recommendations!
On Saturday at Hollywood Park MISTY OCEAN was victorious in the G2 Honeymoon Hcp. On Sunday at Hollywood Park, LETHAL HEAT prevailed in the G2 Hollywood Derby. Misty Ocean was RNA'd at $19,000 in the KEESEP06 sale, Lethal Heat was RNA'd at $25,000 at the BARMAR07 2yo sale. Both were WTC Best of Sale recommendation!

DREAMING OF ANNA, winner of the BC Juvenile Fillies. has assured herself the Eclipse Award as Champion 2yo Filly of 2006. When owner/breeder Frank C. Calabrese ordered our Broodmare Compatibility Analysis for Justenuffheart early 2003, neither of us could have imagined that our recommendation of Rahy would result in an undefeated 2yo (4-4), Breeders' Cup winner, and the likely Champion 2yo filly of 2006. We are honored to have assisted Mr. Calabrese with this mating.

Huge Weekend for WTC's Best of Sale!
We started off the weekend by sweeping the G2 Alcibiades Stakes with the top three finishers -- BEL AIR BEAUTY, UNTOUCHED TALENT, and HER MAJESTY -- all former Best of Sale recommendations. We then followed that up with TWO G1 wins when ENGLISH CHANNEL easily won the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Inv. Stakes at Belmont and HONEY RYDER won a thrilling photo finish in the Flower Bowl Invitational Stakes.

In the four Kentucky Cup races over the past weekend, former WTC Best of Sale recommendations were everywhere! After having an incredible SEVEN juvenile stakes races won by former Best of Sale recommendations during the weekend of September 16-17, we came right back this past weekend with FOUR more 2yo stakes winners! BIRDBIRDISTHEWORD won the Harrah's Juvenile Stakes at Louisiana Downs. REATA'S ROCKET took the Monmouth Park NATC Futurity. SPARK OF DUBAI romped in the Gateway To Glory Stakes at Fairplex. And, finally, WIN WITH A WINK was victorious in the Joseph A. Gimma Stakes at Belmont.

Got the Last Laugh dead-heated in the GIII Arlington-Washington BC Futurity; Barilko won the Swynford Stakes; Spark of Dubai took the Beau Brummel Stakes; Clifton Park was victorious in the Oliver's Twist Stakes; Marianne Rose took the Bustles and Bows Stakes; Biglie Smallwood triumphed in the Prairie Meadows Freshman Stakes; and Quick Little Miss romped in the Barretts Debutante Stakes.
